Source for heating element couplings??

Ask the MoB Enjoyed seeing the electric powered boilers and wondered if anyone could advise where to get the coupling mounts for the electric heating elements? I'm thinking the elements take a straight pipe thread of 1" while most are npt.

I'm outside of Canada, but I've been to Winsor and Toronto.

Any help appreciated.

Source for heating element couplings??

Dan, NPT couplings should work fine, at least they do on my setup. It's the rubber gasket that seals the element, not the thread, and for the short amount of thread you've got, you'll be able to screw the elements in just fine. A good industrial plumbing supply place should either have the couplings on hand, or be able to order them in. Crane Supply here in Ottawa is where most MoB brewers go for this kind of thing.

Cheers!
Drew
