Hi All,
Started Homebrewing shortly after moving to the Ottawa area, some 16 years ago. Kit was a valentine present from my girlfriend at the time.
Hmmmm....ok, so she wasn't so bad...
Can't remember when it was that I made the transition to all-grain, but it was basically a gradual evolution. Started adding hops and specialty grains to kits, then partial mashes, etc. I went through a bit of a lull where I only brewed sporatically for a few years, but I'm back at it with a vengeance. During that time, all the homebrew suppliers seem to have vanished, or drastically reduced their selection. A friend recommended the MOB as a good source for some of the harder to get ingredients, so here I am.
Historically, I've mostly brewed British style ales (Bitters, Browns, Stouts), but last summer I developed a taste for Wits, so I've been working at refining my own Wit recipe this summer. Oh yeah, and made by first attempt at an Abbey ale as well (still in the secondary, so the jury is still out).
Cheers!
