Hi AlL
Great web page! I have been brewing for about 4 years - kits at first and then my own recipies with DME and for the last year or so I have been going the whole hog and brewing all grain. Just returned from a 6 month trip to Germany with lots of ideas for improving my brews and maybe braching out a bit. I have been specialising in Weizen for the past couple of years, after this latest trip I think its time to make some Helles and maybe even a Roggenbier or two.
Cheers
Cliff

I was wondering if anyone in the Ottawa valley area would know where to buy this?
The pictures didn't take but here is the info. They look like conicals and would like a 30 gallon as such.
Mix And Fill Tanks
Inductor tanks are selected as supply tanks for application systems and when complete drainage of stored liquids is required in indoor or outdoor applications. Tanks require stands to support the conical bottoms. Tanks are manufactured from medium density polyethylene with U.V. inhibitors and designed for containment of liquids of up to 1.7 specific gravity. Tank walls are translucent for level viewing, and equipped with gallon indicators. Meets FDA standards. Maximum temperature 140° F. All tanks have a 12” screw on lid. All tanks have 2” polypropylene bulkhead outlet installed with EPDM gasket, except 40 gallon tank which has a 2” polyethylene male thread, designed for complete drainage. Distance from bottom of tanks to

Would anyone know if there is a place I could buy a couple of used Corny kegs to convert to brew kettles? I hear a lot of people in the states are cutting the tops off the kegs and making brew kettles out of them.

I live in the Ottawa valley and have been extract brewing for about 7 years now, on and off. I've brewed a whole range of styles, but my favorite are ales, especially Scottish. When I'm feeling energetic I'll do a full extract boil, but I'll also do a Brew House kit if I'm feeling lazy. I love the flexibility that I have to create different styles and flavours, and the fact that I can do it at a reasonable cost. Cheers Kevin

Hello all,
Gabe here from New Brunswick.
I've been following the mailing list chatter for a couple of months now and figured it was time to formally join the group. I've been brewing for less than a year, starting out with basic extract kits. Batches include an Irish Red, stouts, and IPA. Just recently I started my first partial mash recipe (oatmeal stout). Looking forward to working my way up to all grain recipes and making some tasty brews for all to enjoy. Ok, mostly for me to enjoy but others can too.

Hi there,
Sorry if this is not the right forum.
I moved to all grain about a year a go and am really getting tired of all the transfering and pot watching. I've decide to automate the process a bit but am having trouble getting a pump. I've been quoted between $350-$700 locally but that is crazy. Does anyone know of a distributor in Ottawa or Ontario or Canada for that matter that sells food grade, magneticaly coupled, centrifugal pumps for sub $200? My only special requirment is that the pumps can handle 100C/212F degree water.
Also if anyone has a line on affordable quick disconnects that would be much appreciated.
Cheers!

Hello there. My name is Craig Zubris and I have recently moved to Calgary from Anchorage Alaska. I have been brewing since 2001 and I have spent short stints working in the commercial industry.
I am looking to become apart of a Canadian brew club and get as active as I can. I currently am still an active Member of the Great Northern Brewers Club in Alaska.

Hey my name is Tyler, moved to ontario last year from Victoria b.c. Used to make beer, gonna get back into it shortly when i get back from Afghanistan (in the military) I would like to learn more about whole grain brewing? and im hoping to purchase a conical fermenter when i get home, to hopefully make brewing easier(and bigger batches) than my current setup. I usually make the brew house kits, which I like, however they are not as cheap as I am, so im hoping to learn more of the process.
Thanks
