I live in Iqaluit Nunavut and travel through Ottawa quite often but find it tough to find brewing ingredients.
Any help would be great.

Hi,
I'm new. :D
I just got a corny keg setup and am really looking forward to years of bottle free beers :)
Making a keg portable poses a problem. I have seen the little 16g disposable cylinder things.
I have a 12oz co2 cylinder i confiscated from my son. (Paintball Gun)
can I use that? how would i hook it up?
Thanks
Barry

| Liquid Yeast strains |

I am looking into getting some liquid yeast for my next couple of batches. Up until now, I've been relying on dried generic yeast (Coopers, and Muntons mostly).
I am wondering what people are using for liquid yeast cultures?
And for what type of brews?
Any questionable results from certain strains?
Is there a really good all purpose strain for lagers that you'd swear by?
How about ales?
I thank you for your suggestions and advice in advance.

Hi all.
A new nine-month old daughter has put a temporary hold on brewing while we refinish the basement to accomodate all of the related stuff that goes along with a child.
I do like to lagers in the summer and I am a big fan of the new Creemore Pilsner. However, I just got some new ale glasses for my birthday and I am itching to try a lighter ale. Any suggestions?

Hi,
I recently acquired a keg that I am going to convert to a brew kettle. I know about Swagelok for fittings. I would like a list of fittings that are required ie .... Stainless Steel Pipe Fitting, Hex Nipple, 3/8 in. Male NPT example Swagelok SS-6-HN. Also, if anyone has recommendations for a welding shop in the Mississauga/Toronto area (quality but not too expensive :>). Other parts or part supplier recommendations are also appreciated.
Cheers,
The Iceman

Hi all. I am new here, and like all newbies looking for help. :)..I was told by..hmmm should I say his name..oh all right..Bodensatz told me I might be able to fine some hop oil for sale here. Any truth to that ugly rumour? I am looking for someway to hop a festabrew 23l kit. I find their beer great but it seems to lack the bitterness and aroma I like...Hophead? YES!
Thanx all.

Allow me to introduce myself. I currently reside in Omaha NE and have been homebrewing for approx 4 years. I have extract brewed for this period with fine results and I am taking the plunge now into all grain. My plan is to start with batch sparging since it suits my current brewing set up better.
One question I do have is however is that I am want to contruct a counter flow chiller. I see there are downloadable plans for the Chilly Willy however everytime I try to download the plans I get a message that stats I am not authorized to do so.
Anyway, I am glad to be a part of your organization and looking forward to going All Grains

Hey all, I've been homebrewing with kits for a while now and really hope to pick up some tips on brewing without them during the BSNBB. What I'm wondering is what we're doing for food, I cook for a living and was thinking of bringing a bbq, maybe a big crock for stew or something. If anyone needs a hand with feeding a bunch of beer enthusiasts, than give me a call. I also want to learn as much as possible and if anyone has any space for a team BB or anything, I'd be happy to help out, as all I have to bring is kit brewed beer.
Cheers,
Levi
