Hello MoB ! Ted Gulliver President & Dom Boulet Head Brewer at Draft Horse Brewery 3495 Trim Road Navan,ON. wish the membership to set up a tour of our 8 hl. brewery asap. WE invite the membership to ask Dom,a well known brewer in Canada about our 7 beers on tap & the brewing process. It is our intent to then go next door to a private residence to sample the memberships latest brews. We also want to discuss the reincarnation of the Ottawa Beer Fest for 2006 if we are not too late & for sure 2007.Thanks Ted & Dom

I was wondering if anyone in the Ottawa valley area would know where to buy this?
The pictures didn't take but here is the info. They look like conicals and would like a 30 gallon as such.
Mix And Fill Tanks
Inductor tanks are selected as supply tanks for application systems and when complete drainage of stored liquids is required in indoor or outdoor applications. Tanks require stands to support the conical bottoms. Tanks are manufactured from medium density polyethylene with U.V. inhibitors and designed for containment of liquids of up to 1.7 specific gravity. Tank walls are translucent for level viewing, and equipped with gallon indicators. Meets FDA standards. Maximum temperature 140° F. All tanks have a 12” screw on lid. All tanks have 2” polypropylene bulkhead outlet installed with EPDM gasket, except 40 gallon tank which has a 2” polyethylene male thread, designed for complete drainage. Would anyone know if there is a place I could buy a couple of used Corny kegs to convert to brew kettles? I hear a lot of people in the states are cutting the tops off the kegs and making brew kettles out of them.

Hi there,
Sorry if this is not the right forum.
I moved to all grain about a year a go and am really getting tired of all the transfering and pot watching. I've decide to automate the process a bit but am having trouble getting a pump. I've been quoted between $350-$700 locally but that is crazy. Does anyone know of a distributor in Ottawa or Ontario or Canada for that matter that sells food grade, magneticaly coupled, centrifugal pumps for sub $200? My only special requirment is that the pumps can handle 100C/212F degree water.
Also if anyone has a line on affordable quick disconnects that would be much appreciated.
Cheers!

Hello there. My name is Craig Zubris and I have recently moved to Calgary from Anchorage Alaska. I have been brewing since 2001 and I have spent short stints working in the commercial industry.
I am looking to become apart of a Canadian brew club and get as active as I can. I currently am still an active Member of the Great Northern Brewers Club in Alaska.

I have been a member for about 5 mins already. My first brew was a Doric can of malt in the late 50s, it came out of the bottle like a yeasty volcano, but as there was a beer strike on and it was stinking hot it wasn't all bad. Since retiring I have time to get a bit more serious about brewing, I mostly use Muntons kits and add a bit of this and that, somtimes impressed with result, sometimes not ! . My main problem is geting DME for priming, I like Muntons Spraymalt but seems hard to get, I have emailed and phoned Vintners in Kitchener, Nor response. I am not into advanced brewing but any suggestion would be most welcome. Regards, Wendat in Barrie

I've recently taken up homebrewing again and have realized there are no good suppliers around Toronto. I don't mind going the mail order route but hate having to order from the U.S. mainly because of the price and the time it takes. Do you guys know of any suppliers near the region. I'm mainly interested in liquid yeast. thanks alot. i love the website

Hello all, your website was passed on to me from a brewer in Toronto, I live in Kingston and I am having a hard time finding a reliable supplier of Wyeast. My local store deals with a supplier that is hot and cold and therefore my requests for yeast take a long time , too long , so with you expertise, can you turn me on to a Wyeast supplier that is reliable?Id like to keep it in the area, I know I can order from Wyeast in Oregon. Thanks , the site looks very interesting and informative gord
