Brewing Hardware I have a plastic pail that a friend gave me for cooking the mash. It has two heating elements in the bottom, but is missing any wiring or thermostat. I'm trying to find if I can get the rest of the hardware for this setup. Have digipics I wanted to post with this message, is that possible in this forum?

Brewing Hardware Anyone know more about this item:

"Patrick Brochu impressed us all with his home-made digital temperature probe - a device that allows his PalmPilot to record temperature readings of a mash."

or have a contact for Patrick? Sounds like a good solution to my thermometer need and what to do with an old palm that I have.

Don

Brewing Hardware Hey gang:

I've been hangin' out at rec.crafts.brewing for a couple years now, but I'm now unable to access the discussions with my Outlook software.

So, here I am. I've got some groovy photos of my little basement drinking place, as well as my brew gear. I'm hoping to show some of the photos here.

I live in Brantford, Ontario, and I'm the only all-grain brewer in my circle of friends. Actually, I don't have any brewer friends, so I'm a "beer expert" to almost everyone I know.

They say they like my beer, but I'm sure there's too much flavour for most of them.

Anyway...Nice brew setups here.

Cheerz All:
The Brewer at Ezekiel's Alehouse

Brewing Hardware Hi guys I am setting up my electric brewery and I have run into a little problem. I am not sure how to insulate the ends of my hot water heater elements at the HLT and Kettle. I was going to use a pvc coupler and slide it over it and then fill it in with silicon, I had seen this in an older brewing techniques magazine. But I found out that this may be a fire hazard. So if anyone (DREW) who has any experience with this problem please let me know how you solved it.

Thanks

Dave

I need pot

Brewing Hardware Hey MoBsters, I have recently moved back to the Ottawa area and I really need to start making some beer. Those boxes don't move themselves!
I am looking to move my brewing out of the kitchen and into the garage. At the same time I want to increase my batch size from 23l to 45-50l. I will most likely (definitely for now) be using propane. What options do I have for heating sparge water and a brewpot, other than kegs? Where can I find these (kegs or otherwise) in the Ottawa area? Lets assume I'm on a budget...

cheers, Colin

Brewing Hardware Good evening,
Being from the Toronto area,
would the member of Barleyment authorities object to add a brew shop of the Toronto area to the equipment vendors list?
Could be useful to the members and even might attract other GTA area brewers...
in anycase here it is:
The Wine & BeerFactory
130 Queen Stret East
Brampton, Ontario
(905) 451 9463
www.wineandbeerfactory.com

** No affiliation**
Just a great little shop
Recoomended to me by, might be someone here !?

Regards,

Alain Pascal Routhier
